Jason Wu Finally at Target

Jason Wu's Collection for Target is FINALLY HERE. After many months of waiting and anticipation, the collection finally launched this morning, both online and in store. The price ranges from $29.99 to $59.99, making this a designer collection everyone can afford.

If you are looking into buying something from Jason Wu's Collection for Target, we suggest you hurry as the items are going quick. If you browse through target online, you can clearly see a lot of his items are already marked 'out of stock'.

We are going to drop by Target this afternoon to check out the collection, and hopefully pick up a few stuff for ourselves. Tune in to see what we were able to grab in the midst of this collection launch and how we feel about the overall collection after seeing it in person.

**Update at 9:00pm: Click to read more about what we thought of the collection after seeing it in person.

So we dropped by Target earlier today and we have to say, we, both, were extremely disappointed. We were disappointed not only because we were too lazy to wake up at 7 in the morning to wait in line (what were we thinking???) but also because we didn't get the chance to see the collection! We did manage to find one piece but it wasn't even in either one of our sizes.

By mid-afternoon, the rack was cleared regardless of sizes, styles, or colors. At first we were fooled by all of the clothes hanging on the rack, only to find out it wasn't Jason Wu's Collection; they were just a bunch of other brands hanging under Jason Wu's name (picture below).

The one piece we found was a XL Jersey Dress in Red/Navy Stripes for $34.99. We didn't feel like this piece lived up to our expectation. The materiel felt plain and kind of cheap. The dress was also boxy and shapeless. To us, it did not feel like a higher end brand, even when we kept in mind that this collection was made for Target and made to be less expensive. However, we did like the tags. It gave the collection a nice touch with the black and white photograph of Jason Wu with a short description.

We definitely don't want to base our whole opinion solely on one piece, so we'll give this collection another chance when Target restock the collection. Hopefully, it will be sometime soon. Plus, we did not get the chance to try any of the outfits on so we can not comment on the fit and overall look.
Readers: Have you seen the collection in person? Were you able to purchase anything online or in store today? If so, what did you buy?

    1. Supposedly, Target was packed. At my Target, they had a 6 item limit, I think. I didn't make the early bird launch but one of my other friend did and told me all about it.
I went around mid-afternoon and suffered the consequence for being too lazy to get up. =(

      Hope they restock soon!

  4. There aren't any Target's in my area at the moment so I guess I miss this.

Also, while I wish The Stinky Cheese Man was the book I'm going to review it isn't. I'm reviewing a different book and that post should be up soon.

    1. Aw. Maybe you can shop online. Then again, everything is out of stock so you will have to wait a while.

Oh aw, hope you would review The Stinky Cheese Man. What book are you reviewing? I will definitely take a browse at your book review. I am in need of a good book to read.

  5. I really wanted one of the totes - either the striped one or the one with the cat. Unfortunately I slept in and most everything was gone by the time I got there :(

  6. I was lucky to be one of the first in my local store so was able to grab quite a few things to try on and buy. When I left, there were still plenty on the racks but mostly in larger sizes. The accessories got wiped out first. There were only 2-3 of each of the bags and a handful of scarves.

    1. Lucky! I assumed accessories would go fast. I wanted a few of them myself! Of all the items you were able to grab, which do you like best?

  7. Thank you for visiting my blog! I didn't get to even see the lace clutch and yes, I would have bought one because both of the clutches were on my list (I wanted the lace one for the IFBcon this week) but there were only a few items left. At my store all of the floral pieces were still left on the racks and there were two of the straw/canvas clutches left. I bought one and per my review, left the lopsided one behind.

Another thing I noticed is that the straw satchel said "Jason Wu for Target" on the outside buckle. There is nothing posh about wearing a big Target plaque on your supposedly designer wear! But, heh, maybe that is just me.

    1. I did read about the lopsided clutch on your blog. I can't believe that happened. I was disappointed for you.

I didn't think Target would have sketched "Jason Wu for Target" into the buckle. That is a turn off. Is it really visible? I have to check this out. The one thing I hate most is clothing or accessories with the brand name sketched across the piece. I don't mind as much though if it isn't too visible.

  8. Thank you for visiting my blog. I went to the Target that I thought will have the least people since I want to avoid the madness. I don't feel like dragging my poor husband with me so I went by myself.

I text the pictures of each items I tried to my husband to get his opinions. He didn't like any of the items. He said that the clothes look like it was made for old lady. LOL.

When I show him the navy polka dot blouse in person he said that the blouse was better in person and gave his approval. =)

Be sure to blog with what you style it with.

  10. I was disappointed b/c I woke up early and got there before Target opened, but still did not get to try on or SEE all that I wanted. There were too many crazy women that were faster than me. I bought the navy floral dress and it's adorable! Most of his clothes were really roomy and wide, but at least I got something after being so excited for weeks!

Target is slowly making most of the Jason Wu collection available online if you're still interested! I suggest reading reviews and watching YT to see what people say about each item.

    1. Thanks for letting me know. I have been stalking Target website like crazy. Do you know if they will be restocking accessories or is that in store only?

    2. I'm not sure, although I read on FB that the white satchel became available online at one point in time yesterday and some girls ordered it asap, but by the time I checked, it was "in store only". So I think they are making some things available, but it's very limited and kinda random. Good luck!

  11. Hi thanks for visiting my blog. I am just lucky that I got the dress, that I featured on my blog, cause I walked in at 10:30. I heard the accessories were the first to go so I did not get either one of the 2 clutches/bags that I wanted. Any method to the madness of restocking???

    1. Love your blog. Love the dress you got also.

I think Target will quietly restock. So best bet is to check the site every few hours.

Thanks for dropping by my blog
