Last week, I posted about a great BOGO deal at E.L.F. cosmetics which I fully took advantage of. I bought 9 items for only $13.50 (not including shipping). Original price was suppose to be $27.00 but because of the BOGO deal, I was able to snag each item for half the price. I just ♥ it when I save money.
What I bought from left to right:
- Studio Stipple Brush
- Waterproof Eyeliner Pen in Brown (2)
- Eyeliner & Shadow Stick
- Natural Lash Kit (2)
- Blemish Kit
- Eyebrow Kit
- Mineral Infused Face Primer
First, I love the little bag e.l.f. packs their products in. It makes me feel like I went to the actual store to buy it. Definitely a nice little touch.
On to the reviews:
Tone Correcting Powder - $3.00
What I ♥ about this powder:I do like this tone correcting power as it does absorb oil and gives me a balanced complexion. It covers redness and even out my skin tone nicely. I use the green to hide redness and the yellow to brighten my undertone. I use all four colors to naturalize the skin and absorb oil.
Green, Yellow, Blue, Pink

I find this product to work the best when I lightly sweep on the colors and when I use it under concealer and loose powder. What I also love about this tone corrector powder is that I can use each color individual.
What I don't like about this powder:
One thing I do not like about this product is that it goes on a bit chalky so it gives off a white cast if I put on too much. With that said, it is extremely easy to put on too much. If you are in a rush and don't have time to blend, I don't suggest this at all.
Verdict:
For the price, I do recommend this product. It's an overall good tone corrector if you blend well.
Word of advice: Keep the film protector it comes with to protect the powder from leaving residue on the mirror.
Waterproof Eyeliner Pen - $1.00
What I ♥ about this eyeliner pen:
LOVE LOVE LOVE ♥ this product. The liner goes on smooth, dries matte (not shiny) and does not run, which I absolutely love. The pen makes it so easy to apply and glides on nicely. I love the pigment of the color brown and black as it is true to color. I have yet to try the other colors so I can not vouch for them. I also love that this liner is easy to remove at the end of the night.
Swatches
Top: Brown
Bottom: Black
What I don't like about this eyeliner pen:
The liner does not stay on all day but definitely does stay on for a good 4 -5 hours. I have oily eyelids so people who do not have oily skin may find this liner to last longer? The pen does dry out after about a month or so, but I find I can extend the life of the liner by running it under water. Usually by doing this, I get another good few uses out of them . Also, I find that storing the pen upside down help extend the life of the liner. Another not so good thing about this liner is that the tip may be a bit harsh on the eyelid at first.
Verdict:
I do recommend this eyeliner. It is great for every day use. Also great for beginners who are learning to apply liquid liner.
What I ♥ and don't like about this mascara:
I am indifferent to this mascara. It define my lashes but definitely does not lengthen them. It is great for every day use but when I am looking for something more dramatic, this isn't it. I do use this mascara daily when I am in a rush (which I always am ) and for when I want the natural look.
Verdict:
For the price, I recommend this mascara for daily day time use. For a more dramatic look, I do not recommend this mascara.
Word of advice: Clean the wand with a tissue to avoid clumps.
Sneak peek to future product review:
Can not wait to try this and see how it works on blemishes.
